Based in Shanghai, China
Do you have experience working on successful digital products for kids and teens? Would you like to work in the education sector? Apply for this new and exciting position based in the bustling city of Shanghai at EF English First’s Worldwide Product Development & Research Centre.
The role:
You will be working with multi-disciplinary teams of talented designers, programmers and language learning specialists to create and develop digital learning products such as online-applications, mobile apps, and websites. You will specifically be responsible for understanding user needs of an international audience of young learners, define the user experience of digital learning products, and product visual and functional design solutions. This includes involvement in the full product life cycle to innovative learning experiences using cutting-edge technologies. You will report to the Head of Global Supply Chain & Design.
Requirements:
• Relevant degrees and training, preferably masters level, in fields such as human-computer interface (HCI), user interface design (UI), usability, graphic design, web design
• At least 3 years' work experience as UX designer on digital products such as web applications and websites
• Experience with mobile application design is a big plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills • Strong visual design sense; working knowledge of graphic design principles, typography, composition, colours, etc.
• Expertise in Adobe Photoshop is a must; familiarity with Illustrator, Fireworks and Flash is a plus
• Proficiency in English is a must; good command in Mandarin Chinese would be a plus
