Job Description:

A sourcing manager is sought who will head the team placing orders. This is a full-time position entails both purchasing and managerial aspects. In the region of Shanghai. 

Main tasks

Selection of suppliers for particular products

Management of procurement projects with respect to strategic materials (steel, tubing, paint, specific operations [grinding, punch toolings] aluminium high pressure and low pressure production, plastic moulded products, etc.)

Surveillance over the daily orders and deliveries with respect to logistics and the technical optimisation of purchasing (scale enlargement through the grouping of products, risk avoidance by spreading the risk [never only one supplier], price setting, budgeting and fraud. 

Skills

Chinese or Chinese-speaking candidate

The candidate should be committed and have tenacity

The candidate should be a good organiser and result orientated

The candidate should be able to lead a team

The candidate should be prepared to build up knowledge about the products and be able to use this knowledge to establish purchasing operations for each group of products

The candidate should be able to communicate in English at a reasonable level.
